Training and Mentoring for teachers

Vicky Platt is a highly experienced Specialist teacher for Suffolk and qualified NLP practitioner with a masters degree in Special Education. She is a lead trainer in the Engagement Model and a course leader for the National SENDco Award (NASEN). Vicky has worked as a teacher from nursery to sixth form in mainstream and special education. In addition, she was a therapeutic consultant supporting inclusion for students with challenging behaviour working with teachers and parents.

She uses her experience to support staff to include and plan for children with special needs, and overcome challenging behaviour in schools.

“I started to share my experiences with other teachers and support staff, and now I run courses teaching the techniques that I know work with children. I love sharing the skills and seeing the teacher’s confidence grow”

My courses offer a combination of teaching and training as well as workshops to rehearse and prepare techniques. They are aimed at mainstream and special needs teachers as well as SENDCOs and support staff working with primary aged pupils. They are practical and founded on real situations that teachers meet in their classrooms. I am excited to explore new training options and bespoke offers.

My mentoring allows me to work alongisde educators to build their confidence and meet specific children's needs in school. Spending time in class and with staff allows sharing of knowledge and a sense of teamwork that leads to new ways of working. Contact me below to find out more.
